Pour a cup of vinegar over your dish drainer and soak overnight, then in the morning wipe clean with a damp sponge.

Coffee Pot Cleaning
Fill pot 1/4 full with ice cubes, squeeze 1/2 lemon into the pot and add 2 tablespoons of salt. Swirl the mixture around the pot for a few minutes and the inside surface should be clean, then rinse.
Stained Plastic Container
Wash as much of the stain out as possible and then bleach in hot sun all day.
Fill the container with water and a capful of chlorine bleach, let stand for 1 hour.
Cutting Boards
Wooden cutting boards that will not come clean with soap and water can be rejuvenated by lightly sanding with a fine grit sandpaper, and finished off with a coat of olive oil.
Plastic cutting boards can be cleaned with a 50-50 mixture of water and chlorine bleach solution and wiped off with a paper towel.
Burnt Food on Pots
Fill the pot with water and a little dishwashing soap and bring the water to a boil. Turn off the heat and let stand for 15 minutes. Scrape the bottom with a plastic scraper and scrub the bottom clean. This may have to be done a couple of times to remove badly burnt food.
Greasy Kitchen Walls
Painted walls can be cleaned with a solution of 1/2 cup chlorine bleach and 1 gallon water. Wipe down the walls with a sponge.
Wallpapered walls can be cleaned with a mixture of water and dishwashing liquid. Apply with a sponge and wipe off immediately with a clean sponge and fresh water. Make sure your wallpaper is washable and test first on an out-of-the-way spot.
Dirty Microwave
Heat a glass of water until the inside of the microwave is steamy about 1 minute or so. Let the glass of water sit in the microwave for about 20 minutes with the door closed. Wipe off the softened food splatters with a sponge or paper towel.
Fish Odor on Hands
Wash hands with liquid hand soap and a teaspoon of sugar and rub the mixture thoroughly over your hands and rinse.
Squeeze a half of lemon over each of your hands, rub your hands together and rinse.
Rub your hands on your stainless steel sink or fixtures and wash your hands as usual.

Refrigerator Cleaning
For a thorough cleaning to remove all mold, mildew and bacteria, into a cup of water squeeze a lemon and add the lemon peel. Heat the lemon water on the stove. Pour into a bowl and put the bowl in the fridge with the door closed. Leave for 15-20 minutes and your fridge is ready to be cleaned with a mixture of 1/4 cup baking soda and warm water. Wipe the fridge with a sponge and then rinse with a damp clean cloth.
Always keep an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator to prevent odors.

Get more mileage out of your steel wool pads by cutting them in half with scissors before using. Most times half a pad will get the job accomplished. How many times have you had to throw out those rusted pads? This will also keep your scissors sharp.
